In all my close friendships, words are the bricks I use to build bridges. ~ Glennon D. Melton
Author Visits I love sharing information about the construction and importance of the Mackinac Bridge and am available to do public presentations and school visits. Using historic photos I have created a Power Point presentation, based on research used to write my book, that takes audiences through the construction process. Beginning with Prentiss Brown, the man who said, "Yes, we can!" and culminating in the opening day festivities in 1957/58, audiences will learn about the people and the feats of engineering that made Michigan's "Miracle Bridge" a reality.
School visits are tailored to the students' grade level and interests and also describe how writing a book is like building a bridge.
Fees range from $250 - $500 depending on the number of presentations and travel requirements.
